USING household items to scrub your space has become a popular concept for social media users.
The TikToker explained that the 92c kitchen product, which is available from most stores including Walmart, shouldn’t always be used.
Baking soda has a variety of uses from cooking to eliminating odors and tackling tough stains.
“Baking soda is really handy around the house, you can use it to clean your kitchen sink, get rid of pesticides, or deodorize your fridge,” Caroline said.

However, she also explained that there are some areas “you should never clean with baking soda.”
First, she warned her viewers against using it on mirrors as well as windows or other glass surfaces.
“Baking soda is abrasive so it may scratch or damage the glass surface,” Caroline said.
“Instead, use a glass cleaner or equal parts vinegar and water.”
She also explained why hardwood floors are a no-go area for the product.
“Baking soda is too harsh on the wood sealing so instead I like to use a spray mop,” she said.
Next, she told her audience why baking soda should never be used on marble, quartz, or granite countertops.
“Baking soda can scratch the surface over time so instead use granite spray or equal parts rubbing alcohol and water and a microfiber cleaning cloth,” Lara said.

Finally, she explained why ceramic glass stovetops should not be cleaned with the product.
“Baking soda will leave a whole film so instead use a microfiber cleaning cloth, a little bit of dish soap, and then clean it off with a damp rag,” she told her followers.
